Lisa Brown Senator Lisa Brown was appointed to her second term on the Board in March 2007. Senator Brown is the Senate Majority Leader and a member of the Senate Labor, Commerce, Research and Development Committee. She is the former chair of the Ways and Means Committee and served on the Revenue Forecast Council. She has represented the 3rd district in Spokane since 1993 and is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Organizational Leadership at Gonzaga University in Spokane. Senator Brown earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois and Master of Arts and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Colorado.
