Glenn Gorton - Chair
Glenn Gorton has served on the Board since October, 2002 and was re-appointed to a new term in June, 2008. He is the representative for members of the School Employees' Retirement System (SERS). He was elected Chair of the Board in September, 2007 and is a member of the Private Markets and Administrative committees.

Mr. Gorton is the former Chair of the National Association of Classified School Employees representing classified school employees nationwide in Washington DC on federal legislation. He is the past President of the Public School Employees of Washington serving as the lead in policy management, spokesperson, and lobbyist for the organization's legislative issues concerning education and classified employees.

Mr. Gorton served on the Board of Directors for Public School Employees of Washington, was a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician, and a community committee member for the Eastmont and Cascade School districts.

Professionally, he is a Maintenance and Transportation Technician for the Eastmont School District in Eastern Washington and has worked as a locksmith, school bus mechanic, and a substitute school bus driver.

He graduated from Tustin High School in Southern California and studied Engineering at Saddleback College in Irvine.
